Who Is CVSM?
Central
Vermont Share the Music, Inc. (CVSM) is a non-profit group formed to produce
the Annual Used Musical Instrument Sale. CVSM was organized by Kevin Crossett,
owner of GuitarSam in Montpelier, and Jeff Vovakes, owner of Vermont
Musical Instrument Repair of Middlesex. CVSM is run by a Board of Directors
who implement policy and review all scholarship requests. The Board of Directors
includes Brenda Vovakes, William Hayden, and Judith Henken, Esq. CVSM's
Annual Used Musical Instrument Sale provides buyers and sellers an opportunity
not available elsewhere in Central Vermont. The redistribution of musical instruments
through this sale provides sellers with an immediate opportunity to sell their
musical goods, and offers prospective buyers a musical treat to be able to inspect
and consider many used musical instruments in one location. The
Annual Used Musical Instrument Sale serves three valuable purposes:
1)
Local residents are able to sell their unneeded musical instruments and equipment
for immediate cash. 2) Individuals looking for good, used musical instruments
are able to inspect and audition several opportunities in one location. 3)
100% of the profits generated by the sale will be awarded to qualified Vermont
residents as music scholarships.
CVSM
will present the 16th Annual Used Musical Instrument Sale
on Friday, August 24 and Saturday, August 25, 2012, as a means
to provide music scholarship assistance to Central vermont
individuals. All profits will be directed to the CVSM fund.
